fragments
a heart, heavy to hold.
a threading of pieces from various existing poems of mine \ April 29, 2026 \ 2:00 am:
big belly wide,
full of grief
thickening
these bones.
i am bursting
at the seams
with heavy.
begging to God
for a mercy i struggle
to even believe in.
blue returns
like a native skin —
screaming,
trembling,
groaning.
my heart,
caving in.
a cavity,
a gaping
wound.
fury
be the beast
that devours
the softness,
the light,
my spirit
once knew.
these bones,
this heart,
oh how
they bruise
and bruise
and bruise.
